Call budget
  • As per the Resolution of 7 December 2021 by the Secretary of State for Telecommunications and Digital Infrastructure (SETELECO) within the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation, funds shall be provided to the CDTI under the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan to implement a call for grants to boost production within the audiovisual and video game sector, within the framework of the State R&D Plan.
  • €30,000,000.
Characteristics of the assitance
  • R&D projects carried out individually, by a single beneficiary.
  • Minimum eligible budget: €175,000.
  • Maximum eligible budget: €2,000,000.
  • Experimental development activities shall account for at least 60% of the eligible budget.
  • Balanced distribution of the budget throughout the duration of the project.
  • Duration: multi-annual. Starting in 2022. Completion on 31 December 2023 or 2024.
  • Subcontracting: a maximum of 50% of the eligible budget.
  • If the subcontracting is carried out with entities linked to the beneficiary, authorisation must be requested from the CDTI.

 

Characteristics of the project
  • This programme is entirely digitally focused, and therefore the supported beneficiary's activity must be entirely contributing towards digital transition.
  • All actions funded as a result of this call must respect the principle of causing no significant harm to the environment (DNSH principle: Do No Significant Harm), which implies compliance with specific conditions.
  • The aid intensity limit for each project and beneficiary will be a weighted average, based on the distribution of the budget between each type of activity (industrial research or experimental development) and the maximum aid intensity corresponding to the beneficiary and the activity.

 

Call funding
  • This call is included in the actions set out in the National Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, which will receive funding from the Next Generation EU funds, including the Recovery and Resilience Facility established by EU Regulation 2021/241 of the European Parliament and the Council on 12 February 2021.
  • This call for aid is included in Investment 1: "Support for SMEs in the audiovisual sector" in Section 25 of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, consisting of support for the digitalisation of SMEs and the audiovisual sector, promotion of gender equality, internationalisation and attraction of foreign direct investment.

Gastos elegibles
  • Staff members.
  • Instruments and inventory materials.
  • Contractual research, technical know-how and patents acquired or licensed from external sources on an arm's length basis, as well as consultancy and equivalent services used exclusively for the project (not associated with the management and processing of the requested funding).
  • Overheads and other additional operating expenses.
  • Expenses arising from the auditor's report, up to €1500 per beneficiary.

  • Order CIN/373/2022, of April 26, approving the regulatory bases for the granting of public aid, by the Center for Industrial Technological Development E.P.E., to R&D projects and new business projects of the Plan State Scientific and Technical Research and Innovation 2021-2023, within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan.
